Description

The Jaycees Feargrounds is the Sioux Falls Jaycees’ haunted house project, and the largest fundraiser and volunteer driver for the Sioux Falls Jaycees chapter. The haunted house is located at the W.H Lyons Fairgrounds, and is open to the community every year in October.
We need volunteers to help scare guests. We provide the costumes and makeup. If you're not into scaring people, that's okay. We need front-line volunteers to perform such tasks as scanning tickets, handing out 3D glasses, and educating guests about the rules. A committee member is there to unlock the doors between 4:30pm and 5:00pm, so come early to get into costume, find a spot, eat, etc. Expect the line of incoming guests to last an hour to hour and half past closing time.
Volunteers for Kid's Day (Sunday, October 22) are needed to pass out candy, do face painting, and giving lighted tours through the haunt to kiddos. You can come in a non-scary costume. A meal will be provided after the event. Set-up is at noon. Cleanut and meal take place around 6:00pm.
Volunteers are also needed for tear-down on Tuesday, October 31st and Wednesday, November 1st. We only have a week to tear down the haunt so once we get all done scaring on the 31st around 12:00am, we need volunteers to help carry props out of the haunt, take down tarps, supports, walls, and clean up.

Water is provided every night. On Fridays, Saturdays, and Halloween, food is provided. To express interest, click below. If you have any questions, call 605-215-1081 and speak with Grace.
