Requesting Visual Arts Center Greeters & Guides
Who: Requesting volunteers 16 and older
What: Serving
as a Visual Arts Center (VAC) Entrance Desk Greeter and leading tours of the galleries as requested by guests and/or scheduled by groups visiting the museum
Where: At the VAC entrance desk inside the Washington Pavilion
Training: Plenty of training provided by Museums
staff and fellow volunteers - no prior art expertise necessary!
When: Volunteers usually serve on a set day of the week for a three-hour session between the museum hours of 10:00 am and 5:00 pm.
Why: Museum guests appreciate a friendly face and welcoming presence upon their arrival at the VAC. Volunteer-led tours of the exhibits on display are often the favorite part of guests' visits to the Pavilion!
