Help us set up our booth at the Yankton Rodeo on Aug. 22nd, hand out purple ribbons, and help sell raffle tickets.

Helping maintain the exterior of the building. Pulling weeds, picking up branches, filling bird feeder, watering flowers, various other landscaping tasks. This is a bi-weekly task.

Program for assisting clients while in shelter with babysitting, cooking, cleaning, life skills, etc. Will need to pass a background check and sign confidentiality. Monthly opportunity.

Are you passionate about community advocacy and education? Waypost is seeking an Awareness Planner to help us plan and run campaigns around key awareness months and special events. In this opportunity, you’ll help craft messaging, coordinate event details, and build community involvement to amplify our mission and reach those in need.

Look to cook? Make a casserole and freeze it in portions that can be distributed to our clients. Add the 1-2 page recipe to our client cookbook. Monthly opportunity.

Help Waypost bring vital resources directly to the community! We are seeking reliable Tabling & Community Advocates to represent us at local events, fairs, and outreach sites. You’ll play a hands-on role in setting up tabling displays, sharing educational materials with eventgoers, and spreading awareness about our mission.

What You'll Do:

Help transport and set up event materials (table, banner, brochures, and giveaways).

Act as a friendly point of contact for the public to learn more about Waypost.

Share advocacy information and connect community members with local support.

Helping come up with ideas and create our Yankton Riverboat Days float.

Our Family Connections rooms need an updated paint coat. We will be painting two entry ways, the bathroom, and two offices. This will be 14 years+. Shifts vary depending on your availability and family connections schedule. 

Gather all tools from both IT rooms and garage. Organize and inventory what we have, what we have duplicates of, and what seems to be missing.

Go through everything in the closet. Open games and ensure all pieces are present. Test markers and pens. Throw away super small or broken crayons. Sharpen pencils. Edit down coloring books. Toss any random things that don't belong anywhere.

Go through WFC toys and throw away broken toys, make sure everything has its pieces and all pieces are together in the same room.

Basic cleaning of various facility areas (bathrooms, carpets, garage, etc.). Sorting and organizing of closets and various items. Background check and Confidentiality Agreement required
