Volunteer: America's 250th Bday Parade Crowd Control (along parade route)

We are seeking dedicated individuals (age 16 and up) to assist with parade route security and crowd control, beginning with a pre-parade meeting at 3 p.m. and serving through the conclusion of the event.

Volunteers will be stationed in the staging area and along the parade route. A strong personality is required to be able to maintain the assigned post while politely, yet assertively guiding traffic, parade participants, and the parade crowd.

Safety is our highest priority. Volunteers should bring a cell phone, wear their assigned vest, and may bring beverages and snacks for personal use (no alcohol permitted).

Volunteers will report to Main Street Square Board Room, suite 240, 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the shift to receive assignments and learn which station they will help cover.

8am-10pm- 2 at Main Street Square & 2 at Memorial Park

10am-12pm- 2 at Main Street Square & 2 at Memorial Park

12pm-2pm- 2 at each location

2pm-4pm-2 at each location

4pm-6pm-2 at each location

Number of volunteers: 40 total


No special experience is required—just a positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to help. Flexible volunteer shifts will be available throughout the festival.


Volunteer duties may include:

Welcoming and greeting vendors and guests

Assisting with vendor check-in and registration

Answering questions and providing directions

Staffing information booths

Helping maintain organized and welcoming guest areas

Volunteer Responsibilities
We are seeking dedicated individuals (age 16 and up) to assist with parade route security and crowd control, beginning with a pre-parade meeting at 3 p.m. and serving through the conclusion of the event. A strong, confident presence is essential to guide traffic, participants, and spectators.

We are seeking dedicated individuals (age 16 and up) to assist with parade route security and crowd control, beginning with a pre-parade meeting at 3 p.m. and serving through the conclusion of the event.

Volunteers will be stationed in the staging area and along the parade route. A strong personality is required to be able to maintain the assigned post while politely, yet assertively guiding traffic, parade participants, and the parade crowd.

Safety is our highest priority. Volunteers should bring a cell phone, wear their assigned vest, and may bring beverages and snacks for personal use (no alcohol permitted).
