Volunteer: Pack Food BoxesFeeding Brookings does a food distribution every Thursday afternoon. We pass out around 400 boxes every week to households who could use them, feeding a total of over 1000 people each week. Boxes contain bread, eggs, meat, vouchers for milk, and other items that are purchased or donated. Every Thursday, we need a group of volunteers to help us pack boxes of food, starting at 2pm. The main job is to pull a wagon and fill the boxes with food, then bring the box outside to stack on a pallet. We also need some volunteers to pass out the boxes to guests outside.
