Volunteer: The Wall That Heals

Please join us in welcoming The Wall That Heals to our community from June 11-14 by volunteering to honor all who have served.

Volunteer training will take place on Wednesday, June 10 at 6 pm. Attendance is strongly encouraged.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your start time. All volunteers must be prepared for weather conditions.

Volunteer Shift Descriptions:

Assist Visitors at The Wall: Greet and assist visitors with finding names, viewing photos, and name rubbings. Listen and provide support when needed.

Mobile Education Center Volunteer: Talk about items, In Memory Honorees and Hometown Heroes.

Visitor Tent: Seated Position: in finding names on website or name directory. Monitor trifold inventory. Answer Visitor questions to best of ability.

Direct Visitors (Floater): Greet and assist visitors with information. Direct to The Wall, Trailer, Visitor Tent. Assist if they need help with mobility. Fill in other positions as needed.

Parking and Visitor Assistance: Direct parking. Visitor assistance with transportation to and from The Wall That Heals (Golf Cart / wheelchair / etc.)

Volunteer Tent: Check in volunteers, make sure the snacks and water / beverages are accessible to volunteers, communicate with VVMF / TWTH staff on tour schedules, etc
