Volunteer: The Wall That Heals
Please join us in welcoming The Wall That Heals to our community from June 11-14 by volunteering to honor all who have served. Attendance is strongly encouraged.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your start time. All volunteers must be prepared for weather conditions.
Volunteer Shift Descriptions:
Assist Visitors at The Wall: Greet and assist visitors with finding names, viewing photos, and name rubbings. Listen and provide support when needed.
Mobile Education Center Volunteer: Talk about items, In Memory Honorees and Hometown Heroes.
Visitor Tent: Seated Position: in finding names on website or name directory. Monitor trifold inventory. Answer Visitor questions to best of ability.
Direct Visitors (Floater): Greet and assist visitors with information. Direct to The Wall, Trailer, Visitor Tent. Assist if they need help with mobility. Fill in other positions as needed.
Parking and Visitor Assistance: Direct parking. Visitor assistance with transportation to and from The Wall That Heals (Golf Cart / wheelchair / etc.)
Volunteer Tent: Check in volunteers, make sure the snacks and water / beverages are accessible to volunteers, communicate with VVMF / TWTH staff on tour schedules, etc Agency: Brookings County Veterans Services
