Pathways Shelter for the Homeless

Our mission is to serve the immediate needs of individuals and families experiencing homelessness within the Yankton area, while engaging partners in developing long-term solutions. The shelter was founded on the belief that everyone deserves a home. ​Our vision is to break the cycle of homelessness.

Pathways Shelter for the Homeless has been serving clients in the Yankton Community and surrounding areas for 32 years. Pathways provides a case management team that assists with families and individuals who are homeless or on the verge of being homeless get back up on there feet. Pathways provides the following services: Family and Individual Emergency Shelter Services, Young Adult Transitional Housing (18 to 24 year olds), Re-Entry Program, Rapid Re-Housing, and Financial Asssistance. All are vital programs to provide success in ending the cycle of homelessness for a family or individual.
