Join us as Rapid City comes together to celebrate one of the most historic milestones in our nation’s story — the 250th anniversary of the United States. In partnership with the City of Rapid City, Visit Rapid City is leading local efforts for the Rapid City, SD Semiquincentennial celebration.

Be part of the hundreds who will make the "REAL AMERICA BIRTHDAY BASH" a roaring success! The weekend July 1–5, 2026 a downtown festival, community parade, nationally recognized patriotic drone show, fireworks, concerts and historic re-enactors are all part of the lineup. Volunteers will play an essential role in making this historic celebration successful. Whether you are an individual, family, youth group, club, church group, civic organization, or business team, there are many ways to get involved and celebrate with the spirit of service. Your service will help showcase what makes Rapid City the “Real America.”
