Buffalo Gap National Grassland

Who We Are

The Buffalo Gap National Grassland, consisting of almost 600,000 acres, stretches from Kadoka, SD all the way to the tri-state border of South Dakota, Nebraska and Wyoming. The Buffalo Gap National Grassland is divided into two ranger districts; the Fall River Ranger District located in Hot Springs, SD and the Wall Ranger District located in Wall, SD. The Buffalo Gap National Grassland is also home to the National Grasslands Visitor Center which is co-located with the Wall Ranger District office.

What We Do

The Buffalo Gap National Grassland is a destination for OHV riders, rock-collectors, and hunters from across the nation. It offers motorized trails through badlands terrain and open riding areas for beginning to advanced riders.
