Who We Are

NeighborWorks® Dakota Home Resources assists in providing safe, decent, and affordable housing and revitalizing neighborhoods to improve the quality of life in our communities.

Founded in 1992 in historic Deadwood, NeighborWorks Dakota Home Resources, a private non-profit, is in its third decade of serving low and moderate-income families in western South Dakota. NeighborWorks has implemented many programs and services to accomplish its mission “to assist in providing decent, safe and affordable housing, and revitalize neighborhoods to improve the quality of life in our communities.” Counseling, education, lending opportunities, construction management and home rehab services, and volunteer opportunities are provided. Assisting over 1,600 families into homeownership, NeighborWorks is a strong, stable organization which strives to serve a growing clientele while maintaining the integrity of its services and quality of its programs.

What We Do

NeighborWorks Dakota Home Resources is a HUD-approved nonprofit in the Black Hills and Western South Dakota that helps residents buy, fix, and keep their homes. They achieve this through homebuyer education, financial assistance, rehabilitation loans, and neighborhood revitalization.
