Sioux Falls Roller Dollz

In September 2006, the founders met and set goals. They immediately began sending out bulletins on MySpace, distributing flyers around Sioux Falls, working on a venue, logo, printing shirts and recruiting interested parties to derby. They scheduled a recruiting event where their expectations were far exceeded! Close to fifty interested women showed up for that event; women from all walks of life who shared one common interest—the desire to play derby.

All of our league members are unpaid volunteers. Our skaters pay for their own skates & gear, insurance, uniforms, as well as dues to help pay for league expenses such as practice facility rental. We are 100% volunteer run and our members keep the league running by taking on a variety of league jobs and positions. Our members also volunteer at a variety of charity events as part of our membership requirements.
