Alpha Center

Alpha Center is a non-profit organization that provides a wide range of services to women and men involved in an unexpected pregnancy. Our goal is to provide positive alternatives with practical support. Since 1984, this center has helped individuals of all ages and various cultural backgrounds from the Sioux Falls community and beyond. Alpha Center is supported financially by caring individuals who are committed to making a difference.

Pregnancy Testing

The Alpha Center offers free and confidential pregnancy testing to help individuals determine if they are pregnant. These tests are quick and reliable, providing results within minutes. The center’s compassionate staff is available to discuss the results and provide support and guidance for next steps, regardless of the outcome.

Limited Ultrasounds

Limited ultrasounds are available at the Alpha Center to confirm pregnancy and estimate gestational age. These ultrasounds are performed by trained professionals and can provide valuable information about the pregnancy. The service is designed to give expectant parents a clearer picture of their pregnancy and assist them in making informed decisions.

STD Testing

The Alpha Center provides STD testing to help individuals understand their sexual health status. Testing is confidential and covers a range of common sexually transmitted infections. Early detection and treatment of STDs are crucial for overall health, and the center offers resources and support for those who test positive.

Education

Education is a cornerstone of the Alpha Center’s services, offering information on pregnancy, parenting, sexual health, and healthy relationships. After-Abortion Care

After-abortion care services are available to support individuals who have experienced an abortion. The Alpha Center provides free, non-judgmental, confidential support to any woman or man experiencing the emotions or physical symptoms of a past abortion.  This care is provided in a safe environment, helping individuals navigate their feelings and health post-abortion.
