Moving Assistance Program

The Moving Assistance Program (MAP) is designed to provide assistance to individuals and families who cannot afford the financial burden of moving to better or safer living conditions. Better living conditions are defined as physical or financial, or both, depending upon the circumstances of the situation.  We work closely with the 211 Helpline to identify folks who meet program guidelines. Fulfilling this need provides foundational support and improvement to our community.  We are a group of volunteers.

Here are the details for a general move:

-- We generally need 6-8 volunteers to assist in our moves.

-- They take approximately 2-3 hours. 

-- With the exception of some small furniture items, all items to be moved must already be boxed.

-- The home that the items are being moved from was a home that allowed smoking, so please be aware if you have any   allergies to smoke.

-- We do not unbox items at the new home.

-- All equipment is provided for the move.
