Sew A Swag Bag: Brookings County Youth Mentoring Program

Help build a solid foundation for our youth. With this project, you'll have the opportunity to help a mentor and mentee build a special bond to instill confidence in a youth and be able to take on life. Brookings County Youth Mentoring Program needs volunteers to sew 100 cloth "mentoring swag bags" that BCYMP will fill with items that adult Mentors and their K-12 age Mentees can enjoy together. Each Mentoring Pair will get a "swag bag" that they can use, then return and swap for a new shared experience opportunity. Volunteers will need to bring their own sewing machines or complete the project off-site. To volunteer sign up below. For more information, call the Brookings Area United Way at (605) 692-4979. More about the BCYMP: The Brookings County Youth Mentoring Program (BCYMP) promotes one- on-one mentoring efforts to youth in the community.
